We are not spectators! We are responsible for what happens in the immediate reality around us! We are the organized resistance against a system that devastates communities, plunders ecosystems, and strips human life of dignity. Every day we must walk together, guided by the idea that only continuous, organized, and united action will stop the abuses of the predatory machinery of transnational corporations, which are so well protected by the actions or complicit passivity of state governments and international organizations.
Globalized capitalism commodifies our existence: it turns us into passive consumers, into inert and resigned citizens. Today, transnational corporations impose their interests, while states and organizations such as the WTO and the IMF assume the role of enforcers of corporate power. And in the face of this colonization of everyday life, we must respond by creating coordinated networks and high-impact collective actions based on solidarity and disobedience.
Our struggle is not symbolic. It is material. It exists! It is the sprouting of community gardens that challenge agribusiness; it is the neighborhood assembly that refuses to be evicted by gentrification policies; it is the blockade of machinery that attempts to tear nature apart to translate it into profits for an energy corporation; it is the boycott of that multinational corporation complicit in Israeli genocide; it is the sabotage of that textile company that exploits workers through maquiladoras; it is the solidarity of the neighborhood preventing evictions for which the banks’ usury is solely responsible. And every act, no matter how small it may seem, is another step towards building a world where the profits of large corporations are where they should be: absolutely subject and subordinate to the rights and freedoms of people and the preservation of the planet.
We are fully aware that the future (and even the present!) can seem completely bleak. The climate crisis, wars over resources, genocide, fascist and far-right positions, racism, job insecurity, and poor living conditions are just different expressions of the same problem: neoliberalism running wild, seeking to maintain the status quo at all costs so that a few can keep their privileged position. But we must face the present moment without fear! We must understand that we are responsible but also capable. We must understand that justice is not begged for, it is taken from whoever and wherever it is needed. We exercise our freedoms and rights, and we never ask for permission. We understand that, like you, we must assume that we are the change! We are society itself in motion! And no one but us can guide us! We must transform our outrage into struggle every second in every corner! Without fear! In solidarity! And we want to do it from now on with you!
NOBODY WILL DO IT FOR US!!
SEE YOU IN THE STREETS!!
