Collection of signatures to prevent the construction of a hotel on the Los Genoveses Beach (Cabo de Gata Natural Park)
WHO?
Launched by Greenpeace, the signature collection campaign aims to rectify the Junta de Andalucía, which allowed the authorization of said hotel.
HOW?
The collection of signatures seeks to paralyze the authorization of the ‘Cortijo Las Chiqueras’ as a four-star hotel.
WHERE?
Los Genoveses Beach, in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. (Andalusia)
WHEN?
From now until the Andalusian Government paralyzes the hotel project.
HOW MANY?
The aim is to obtain the maximum support possible. Any individual person can sign.
WHY?
The authorization of this hotel in Genoveses Beach, does not comply with the Natural Resources Management Plan of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park. This foresees an increase in road traffic, light and noise pollution, and channeling, with the consequent impact on the environment. Furthermore this would set a dangerous precedent.
